The Schenectady County Bar Association
The Schenectady County Bar Association is an Association of lawyers, mindful of their unique role in the
relationship between the community and the law. The Association is
formed to facilitate the administration of justice, elevate the
standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession,
promote the interests and welfare of the profession, particularly of
the practicing lawyer, and cherish the spirit of collegiality among
its members. The SCBA was incorporated in 1916 as a nonprofit
corporation.

The Schenectady County Bar
Association is celebrating its 100
th anniversary. The SCBA has been
providing professional and community service since incorporated in 1916,
including continuing legal education, mentoring, public information and legal
services programs.
“I am particularly proud to
be leading the Schenectady County Bar at this time as we celebrate one hundred
years of promoting the legal profession and the administration of justice,”
said the SCBA President, the Hon. Mark L. Powers, Schenectady County Family
Court Judge and Acting Supreme Court Justice. “We look forward to exploring new
ways of furthering the goals of our association while honoring its history.”
